Today’s post is definitely in the ‘etc’ category. A few years ago we decided to see if there was interest in our community for starting a pregnancy resource center in our city to serve families and young women who are in a crisis pregnancy. The response was overwhelming. I am amazed at all those who have come together to fight for life in our community. The Lord raised up a whole army of volunteers and servants to make this thing happen. Our first banquet last year was a huge success even before we even had a location. Since then we have hired a director, Sandi Hendricks, organized our volunteers, filled out piles of paperwork, and rennovated our space. We have been ‘open’ for a couple of months, but today marks our official opening with the ribbon cutting and open house.
I am so humbled by everyone’s hard work and dedication. My prayer is that our center will serve the city of Sikeston and the surrounding communities for years to come. If you have supported the center in any way, then thank you! If you are in our area and have not heard of us, then stop by or give us a call. If you want to fight for life in the community that you live in, then find a PRC and give it your support. Lives depend on it!
